Packaging for Electronics

While we know Apple as the king of electronics, there are other electronic companies that do things similar, offering unique packaging. Packaging electronics is a major challenge due to how fragile they are, and occasionally expensive for you to put together. This is something that’s important for the product, and it can protect the item during transit, while also being a great marketing material. Here are some cool packaging options for electronics to consider.

eZLO

This is a smart home controller that is packaged within a sleeve box and a paper try. The tray actually has inserts that are custom-made so that the product is held together. This keeps everything in one place, offering an extra layer of protection, boosting the unboxing experience. In order to have a smooth, clean flow, this is definitely something that you’ll want to consider for the product. The wires are also hidden within a small compartment in a tray that’s like a booklet.

This also comes with a paperboard sleeve, and it’s totally biodegradable.

L’Oréal

While we don’t know L’Oréal as a tech company, they have UV sense, a technology that they created to create a detection to look for UV rays that are harmful. The packaging is a brochure type that's vital for retail and trade shows, especially for showcasing or introducing products.

There are different faces within this that actually display the products that they have, with enough space to incorporate information about the way the product works, and the use. It also has a window that’s cutout around the front face, to let customers see the product that they’re getting.

Blink Smartwatch

This is one that allows you to utilize rigid packaging, in the form of a box that’s rigid, and it’s similar to how a box is. This contains inserts for the wearable, with the insert being totally removable, and leaves you with space for you to store the manual, the warranty, and everything else. The ribbon around the side is made to pull this fully out of the sleeve. The design for this is noteworthy, with the top of this having the word printed on there similar to a word search, with the sleeve containing holes that do align with this, and that alone spells out the word watch.

Lapka

This is a design and manufacturing company that has a breathalyzer and assisted breathalyzer for your smartphone. They created an eco-friendly Kraft item, with the sleeve box. The sleeve that comes with this does encapsulate the tray, with the insert that does hold the sensor there. this intentionally utilized kraft paper, a single color print, and it limited the information of the product in order to keep the designs minimalistic on this.

Green Depot

This is aimed for eco-friendly packaging sleeves that use light bulbs. The packaging that’s corrugated allows for the way that the sleeve is able to fold around the bulb, offering easy protection from the way that it’s damaged. The packaging often offers a seal that is used to prevent this from fully rolling out.

The cool thing about Green Depot is that this is made from totally corrugated cardboard, which makes this very easy for you to use, recycle, and the printing is kept to be minimal at best. These are some of the unique ways that packaging companies are able to fully utilize custom packaging, and you can see it in the way that they’re able to do this.  It’s a good way to set a precedent, especially for those who want a unique, intricate design, or something new for their packaging.
